The new season is upon us and we are ready for all our friends and extended family to arrive. Like her name “Sunrise” was the first to arrive.

Sxm Marine Trading is proud to say that we have a second larger shop located just to the left of the Isle de Sol gate in the SkipJacks building. We are now on the main road so we can now offer all our usual services and much more, to all boats in all the Marinas.

This shop is staffed by Smiley Elona and Joan.

We now do full crew placement and crew support, dayworkers “Smilers” crew-house of course.

Boat agency, with Immigration and custom clearance - Yacht support.
White glove service to help get all the things you are desperate for.
Medical supplies (now agents for Ocean Medical International)
Part sourcing, specialist lubricants. Top of the range in power tools 230v/110v Hitachi
Island Information and bookings, flowers, boat rentals. Excursions.

So Stop by, we can help. At SkipJacks there is a great dock if you wish to come by dingy, a cool bar with a high quality restaurant and a fresh fish market.

We also have wireless Internet access at the bar and upstairs with us.
We had Omar pass by but he only stayed for 5 hrs and did leave us a little wind blown but for most, little damage and one flipped catamaran in the lagoon. As we are old hands at this we cleaned up and are ready to go full on for the new season.

A good Sunset after a storm always gives hope. Photo taken from Lagoonies Bar and restaurant now run by our Brad and Tara, Lagoonies has at last found its place as one of the places to be. Great food, great ambience, great music, pool table, and friendly atmosphere.

Budget Marine have just had the first party of the season to launch their new catalogue, a very good party and a very good catalogue. And guess what we are mentioned as their Mega Yacht partners. cool…and let you into a secret Rose from Budget now works for Marine Trading. Yes you will find her in the Isle De Sol Shop.

St. Maarten MYBA boat show is getting close and there are a large number of mega yachts booked in which should all add to a great show. Rumor has it there are well over 40 boats booked in so far. We are having two tents this year as we have more agencies to represent.

Another season is starting here in SXM St. Maarten, the sunny friendly island. Boats are arriving from the Med earlier and in even greater numbers. Soon the empty docks will be full again. Everyone will be back and the work and parties start.

St. Maarten is continually growing so there is a lot of new construction and development around to be seen and experienced.

We are all preparing for our St. Maarten Charter Boat Show, which now is being organized by MYB and we are expecting this to be the biggest and best show yet.

Hi,While you have all been away We, Smiley and Elona have spent quality time down Island in Dominica,“The Land of many rivers” The untouched jewel of the Caribbean, were the people are friendly and the land is fertile, producing lots of truly organic fruits and vegetables.

While visiting the Island we experienced some of the islands treasures-Indian River-where the Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed- Layou River –Kalinago Barana Aute a Carib Cultural Village by the sea – Soufriere Hot sulphur-pools in the south-Cold sulphure-pools in the North. Trafalgar Waterfalls, Emerald pools and champagne snorkeling but to mention but a few. Rainforests, tree frogs, parrots, red bananas.
